Grand Traditions has been sponsoring
dance classes and balls in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1990.At Grand Traditions we welcome dancers of all skill levels. Emphasis is on the social aspects of dancing as well as developing dance skills and increasing awareness of our dance heritage. We offer classes in various forms of social dance including vintage dance and more contemporary social dance. The term "vintage dance" refers to a wide variety of social dances from the Regency, Victorian, Ragtime, and early Jazz eras.
In December we host our annual 19th century ball with a different theme every year. In February, our romantic Valentine's Ball features dances and music from 1900 to 1920. For social dancing in a casual, relaxed atmosphere, we host our Social Dances.
Our welcoming and helpful atmosphere allows even beginning dancers to feel comfortable. You can come to our dance events alone or with a partner, as we encourage frequent changing of dance partners.
At Grand Traditions, everyone has the opportunity to learn, meet new people, and have fun.
