Step back into the elegant ballrooms of the past with Pleasant Moments Vintage Dancers, a group that offers educational and entertaining performances of authentic social dances from the 19th and 20th centuries. The company's impressive repertoire includes enchanting Victorian waltzes and polkas, Ragtime Hesitation Waltzes, animal dances and dramatic tangos, Jazz Age fox trots and blues - all done in period costumes to original period music. Performances range from short presentations to longer programs including dances, readings, songs and audience participation. Dances are researched and choreographed by Artistic Director, Cathy Stephens, internationally known historical dance specialist, performer and teacher.
